Star batsman of the Pakistan men’s cricket team Babar Azam edged past Indian captain and run machine Virat Kohli to become the third quickest to reach 11 One Day International (ODI) hundreds. Babar scored a match-winning 115 runs for his team in the second ODI of the ongoing bilateral series against Sri Lanka.
While Azam took as many as 71 innings to reach his 11th ODI hundred, Virat Kohli had reached the milestone in 82 innings. In effect, Babar reached the milestone nine innings before Virat Kohli.
Pakistan batted first and scored 305/7 riding on Azam’s 115 off 105 balls. His innings included as many as eight boundaries and four sixes. In response, Sri Lanka could not really get going were eventually bowled out for 238 in 46.5 overs with Usman Shinwari returning figures of 5 for 51 in his 10 overs.

South African duo of Hashim Amla and Quinton de Kock remain the quickest and the second quickest to reach 11 ODI tons respectively. Amla reached there in 64 innings while de Kock reached there in 65 innings.
