Bangladesh cricket team skipper Mashrafe Mortaza invited Asghar Afghan-led Afghanistan cricket team to bowl first after winning the toss in the fourth match of Super Four in Asia Cup 2018 on Sunday. The match is being played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.
Asghar Afghan, Afghanistan captain: “On this track, everyone would have wanted to bat. But, that doesn’t matter. We have one change. Najibullah is not playing. Samiullah comes in. Yesterday, we had a bit of rest. We have a very important game to play. Afghanistan are not just coming here to play, we want to win matches.”
Mashrafe Mortaza, Bangladesh skipper: “We’ll like to bat first. We got two changes. We are playing with an extra spinner. Nazmul Islam is making his debut today. Imrul Kayes comes in for Mosaddek Hossain. We have to play with confidence. They have world class bowlers. We have to back our techniques and play confidently. If we have a good start, we can carry on from there. We need to win. Hopefully, boys recovered well and give a big shot today.”
