The US National Football League witnessed a major setback when football star Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest after he collided with one of his opponents. The incident took place in the match between Cincinnati Bengals and Buffalo Bills on Tuesday.

Damar collapsed on the ground at 5:58th second of the after colliding with one of the players from Cincinnati Bengals. The match was later postponed by the NFL.

The 24-year-old star footballer received immediate medical attention on the field. He was later shifted to a local hospital where his condition is told to be critical.

In a tweet describing the current condition of Damar, Buffalo Bills wrote “Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest following a hit in our game versus the Bengals. His heartbeat was restored on the field and he was transferred to the UC Medical Center for further testing and treatment. He is currently sedated and listed in critical condition.”

Hamlin who is a native of Pennsylvania became a part of Buffalo Bills in 2021 and he has played all the games this season.
