The Sydney Thunders scripted a very dismal record in the history of T20 cricket on Friday as they were bowled out by Adelaide Strikers’ brilliant performance for just 15 runs in 5.5 overs, the lowest total in the history of T20 cricket. The match finished in the power play itself.
Adelaide’s pacer Henry Thortan displayed an exceptional show where Thortan snatched 5 wickets in his 2.5 overs and gave just 3 runs giving his best bowling figures in T20. He was named Man of the Match for his remarkable performance.

Notably, Sydney Strikers is now the team with lowest total ever in an inning of T20 cricket. Previously, the record was held by Turkey, who were bowled out for 21 runs in a match against Czech Republic in Ilfov County back in 2019.

Also, in the year 2014, the whole of Netherland’s team was sent back to the pavilion on just 39 runs against Sri Lanka, making it one of the lowest ever total scored in an inning in T20 internationals.
Moreover, in world’s biggest T20 league IPL, this record was held by its one of the most decorated team, Royal Challengers Bangalore. The RCB was bowled out for just 49 runs against Kolkata knight Riders in 2017.
