Till date no arrests have been made in connection with TMC leaders and MPs in Tripura. It’s been more than four years of the brutal attack, said party leaders.
Meanwhile, the Bengal police have arrested two people in the Nagrakata attack case, where a BJP MP and MLA were attacked by mobs.
The Trinamul Congress in a post on its X handle highlighted that the BJP has admitted attacking the TMC party office in Tripura: “At a press conference, @BJP4Tripura openly admitted that BJP, BJYM leaders and karyakartas ripped down posters and smashed the boards and banners outside our party office in Tripura. They did not apologise. They gloated. They celebrated vandalism as if it were a badge of honour,” TMC handle said.
The TMC leaders said: “We demand that the Tripura Police stop playing spectator to this disgrace. The perpetrators have publicly owned up; there is no excuse, no pretext, and no time to waste.”
