A low calorie diet may be the solution to control diabetes. A recent study confirms that a low calorie diet may help reverse diabetes.

A low calorie diet helps in weight control and the resulting effect may help to reverse diabetes, confirmed a study conducted by researchers at Newcastle University, UK.

The study states that diabetics, who stuck to a very low calorie diet, showed impressive decline in liver fat content resulting in controlling hepatic insulin sensitivity within seven days. Over eight weeks, the pancreas fat content fell and normal first phase insulin secretion became re-established with normal plasma glucose control.
