Each time a celebrity walks down the red carpet, the first thing everyone notices even before their glamorous outfit, is their dazzling smile. While we all dream of flaunting smiles like theirs, we hardly realize that it takes a lot of work to make those gleaming pearly whites look the way they do. But with experts like Dr. Nina Bal, having the perfect set of teeth is possible for anyone!

Raised in a small town in Italy, Dr. Nina always dreamt of becoming a doctor. She was very passionate about the beauty, aesthetics and fashion industry and loved looking after herself. Combining two of her interest areas, she decided to study hard and become a cosmetic dental surgeon and a facial aesthetic doctor. She went on to graduate from Pavia, Italy with a BDS (Hons) degree in 2008.

Since then, this small-town girl with big dreams has managed to become one of the best cosmetic dental surgeons around. With an impressive clientele, including Vicky Pattinson from Geordie Shore fame, Nina is on her way to the top. She is now the member of British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, General Dental Council, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, Compare the Treatment, Save Face, Hamilton Fraser, Dental Protection, and Beauty and Cosmetic Surgery Guide (Tatler) 2019.

Throughout her career, Dr. Nina has managed to win many accolades including the Aesthetic Dentistry Awards in 2018. She was also the finalist at the prestigious Dentistry Awards for the ‘Best Young Dentist’ award in 2017 and the finalist at Aesthetic Dentistry Awards for ‘Facial Aesthetics – Dermal Fillers peri-oral’ in 2019. She was the official cosmetic dentist in the series 2 of Body fixers on E4.

While many might think that celebrities opt for basic procedures like teeth whitening, a lot more goes into making that smile a perfect one. That’s when cosmetic procedures come into the picture. Speaking of the kind of treatments most celebrities choose, Dr. Nina said, “Many might think that it is a one-time-visit solution but it’s actually a very intense procedure which shows results over time.”

“It might take anywhere from a week to a month for the treatment to be completed and two weeks more for full effects of the treatment to show,” she added. Apart from Cosmetic Dentistry, Dr. Nina is also an expert in Botox, Facial Sculpting, Fillers, Lips, and Skin Rejuvenation.

Speaking about how facial sculpting and cosmetic dentistry are mutually related, Dr. Nina said, “Facial sculpting is a concept instead of a procedure. I combine my two biggest passions – beauty and medicine – to offer people a complete cosmetic solution. I feel that you have to look at the face and teeth together when trying to offer the best aesthetic treatment; you can’t just do one and ignore the other.”
