Under the ambitious ‘Tribal Adi Gram Project’ by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, comprehensive programs are being run in 64 selected villages of Uttarakhand to improve health, education, self-reliance, and social empowerment of tribal communities. The project is being implemented by Patanjali Divya Yog Mandir Trust, Haridwar.
As part of this initiative, a large free yoga camp was organized in the village of Banas Kheda with the support of the Women’s Patanjali Yoga Committee. Many members of the local tribal community especially women, youth, and senior citizens participated with great enthusiasm.

During the camp, participants practiced various yoga asanas, pranayama, meditation, natural health techniques. They were encouraged to adopt healthy and balanced lifestyle. Yoga instructors explained that yoga is not just way to prevent or cure diseases, but a powerful path to live disciplined, balanced, energetic life.

On this occasion, Ramdev said, “Yoga is India’s ancient and divine way of life, which strengthens a person physically, mentally, and spiritually. Patanjali’s mission is to spread the light of yoga to every person in the country.”
Acharya Balkrishna added, “The tribal community is an important part of our rich cultural heritage. This yoga camp in Banas Kheda is an important step toward bringing positive change and promoting a healthy lifestyle in tribal society.”
Under the project, regular free yoga camps, health awareness programs, natural medicine consultations, lifestyle improvement campaigns are being held in villages, directly benefiting the tribal communities.
