The Youth Congress workers on Saturday waved black flags at Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in Palakkad and Thalassery.
They raised slogans against the government when the Chief Minister’s convoy passed through Chalissery in Palakkad district. They were protesting against the LDF government’s decision to impose Rs 2 cess per litre on petrol and diesel.
One Youth Congress worker was arrested by the police in connection with the incident. Youth Congress State General Secretary O Farooq, Constituency President Sanoj Kandalai and District Executive Member MV Azhar were arrested.

Youth Congress workers also showed black flag at Chief Minister Vijayan at Thalassery in Kannur district on Saturday evening. The protesting Youth Congress activists showed black flag when the Chief Minister’s vehicle passed through Chirakkara in Thalassery.
