Police personnel stationed at the site acted swiftly, stopped her, confiscated the bottle, and took her into custody. She was then taken to the Hazratganj police station, accompanied by her elder sister and a minor child. Officials confirmed that she is safe and is currently being counselled.
The woman alleges that in June 2025, she had submitted a written complaint at Shalimar Garden police station in Ghaziabad against a Haryanvi singer and filmmaker with whom she had previously worked. However, her complaint was not initially converted into a formal FIR, forcing her to approach the High Court.
An FIR was eventually registered nearly 25 days later following the court’s direction. She further claims that despite this, the police failed to take any action and later closed the case.
