In an emotionally charged response over the alleged humiliation of his sister Rohini Acharya, Lalu Prasad’s son Tej Pratap on Sunday warned “traitors”, saying the insult to his sister was “absolutely unbearable” under any circumstances.
Referring to Rohini Acharya’s allegations that she was abused and humiliated inside her parents’ home, Tej Pratap said the incident has shaken him to the core.

“What happened to me — I endured it. But the insult done to my sister is absolutely unbearable under any circumstances,” he said in a statement shared by his party, Janshakti Janta Dal on Instagram.
“Listen, traitors— If you target our family, the people of Bihar will never forgive you,” he added.
Without naming anyone directly, Tej Pratap said that these few faces have even clouded his brother Tejashwi Yadav’s judgment. “The consequences of this injustice will be extremely grave. Time’s reckoning is harsh,” he warned.
Tej Pratap, who was ousted by Lalu Prasad from the RJD and family over a love affair, also made an emotional appeal to his father, asking him to “give just one signal”.
“Just one gesture, and the people of Bihar themselves will bury these traitors,” he said
Tej Pratap further added that this was not a fight for any political party but for the “family’s honour, the dignity of daughters and the self-respect of Bihar.”
His response came after his sister Rohini Acharya announced that she had quit politics and severed all ties with the family.
Acharya alleged that after the RJD’s humiliating poll defeat, she was abused and humiliated in front of her parents and sisters, who, she claimed, were in tears when “someone” raised a slipper on her.
Acharya further claimed that she was told she gave her “dirty kidney” to her father Lalu Prasad in exchange for an election ticket.
“Yesterday, along with abuses, I was told that I am dirty, and that I gave my “dirty kidney” to my father, that I took crores of rupees, that I got a ticket and then gave that dirty kidney…To all daughters and sisters who are married, I want to say: if there is a son or brother in your ‘mayka’, then never—even by mistake—save your father, your God-like parent,” she wrote.
In the 2025 Assembly elections, the RJD was reduced to just 25 seats as the NDA registered a landslide victory, winning 202 of the 243 seats.
