A galaxy of the country’s top leadership, including Vice-President CP Radhakrishnan, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and governors and ministers from various states, converged at the Lalbagh resort on Sadri Ranakpur Road in Rajasthan’s Pali district on Saturday to bless Sikkim Governor Om Prakash Mathur’s granddaughter Komal on the auspicious occasion of her wedding.

Since it was a daytime marriage ceremony, the dusty yet monumental Ranakpur zone remained a hub of hectic VVIP movement throughout the day. While Vice-President Radhakrishnan arrived at the Lalbagh Ranakpur helipad in the morning, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached the venue later in the afternoon. Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot had been in Ranakpur since Friday, and Assam Governor Laxman Prasad Acharya also arrived early on Saturday.

Elaborate security arrangements were put in place across the Pali district, especially in the Sadri-Ranakpur Road area.

Five helipads were set up in the Ranakpur Road area to facilitate VVIP movement. Drone flying was prohibited in the area on Saturday and Sunday.
