Union Home Minister Amit Shah urged the people of Bihar to elect an NDA government, promising government jobs and employment opportunities to one crore youth, if the NDA returns to power after the assembly elections.
Addressing public meetings in Muzaffarpur and Vaishali districts of Bihar on Sunday, he announced that the new NDA government will set up 100 MSME parks and over 50,000 cottage industries in the state. An investment of Rs 1 lakh crore will be made in agriculture and infrastructure.

“We have declared in our manifesto that one crore youth in Bihar will be given government jobs and employment. Poor students will receive free education from KG to PG, and a mega skill centre will be established in every district. The Rs 6,000 given annually to farmers by the Modi government will be supplemented by Rs 3,000 from the Bihar government. Fifty lakh permanent houses will be built for poor families,” he said.
Shah said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar have taken Bihar from the era of jungle raj towards development. Under PM Modi’s leadership, Muzaffarpur’s litchi has reached across the country and the world, spreading its sweetness. Recently, the PM reduced the GST on litchi and its juice from 12 per cent to 5 per cent, which will greatly benefit litchi farmers.
He urged voters, “Do not cast your vote to make someone an MLA or a minister, cast your vote to save Bihar from jungle raj. If the people of Muzaffarpur decide to ensure an NDA victory, no one can bring back jungle raj to Bihar.”
Shah said that the PM has made the country secure and prosperous and worked for the welfare of the poor. In Bihar, 8.52 crore poor people are getting 5kg of free foodgrains every month. A total 85 lakh farmers in Bihar receive Rs 6,000 every year under the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, and now we will increase it from Rs 6,000 to Rs 9,000.
“If Lalu Prasad did anything in Bihar, it was scams — the fodder scam, the land-for-jobs scam, the tar scam, the flood relief scam, and countless others,” he added.
