Among the medallists, Anshika Kataria (MPA Kathak Dance) emerged as the top achiever with eight medals, the highest individual tally this year. Other students excelled in music, dance, and performing arts, reflecting the university’s legacy as a premier institution of cultural learning.
Congratulating the students, Singh said, “India’s vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047 can only be realised when every district of Uttar Pradesh develops equally. Today’s youth are the torchbearers of this mission, and cultural institutions like Bhatkhande play a key role in shaping this future.”
He added that the success of women students was particularly noteworthy, with over half of the medals this year being won by female achievers. “This proves that when daughters are given opportunities, they achieve remarkable success,” he said.
State Minister for Higher Education Rajni Tiwari, present as Guest of Honour, also praised the achievements of the medallists, while Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Guest Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe joined the event virtually to extend their congratulations.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mandavi Singh highlighted the university’s progress since being granted state university status in 2022, while Registrar Dr. Srishti Dhawan proposed a vote of thanks.
Singh concluded by encouraging students to combine tradition with modernity in their pursuits: “Just as Lord Krishna’s flute carried timeless melodies, your talent and art can light the future of India.”
