In the light of the evolving and sensitive situation in Nepal, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the state police to remain on high alert along the Indo-Nepal border.

Acting on the instruction, Director General of Police (DGP) Rajeev Krishna has ordered heightened round-the-clock vigil in all border districts adjoining Nepal.

To further strengthen security in these regions, additional police forces have been deployed and patrolling as well as surveillance activities have been intensified to ensure swift response to any potential emergency.

In a move to assist Indian nationals stranded in Nepal, a special control room has been established under the Law & Order Branch at Police Headquarters, Lucknow.

This facility is operating 24×7 under the supervision of the Additional Director General of Police (Law & Order), offering direct support through dedicated helpline numbers:

Additionally, the Social Media Unit of the Uttar Pradesh Police has been instructed to closely monitor all sensitive content related to Nepal and take immediate action whenever necessary.

Meanwhile, DGP Rajiv Krishna said the Uttar Pradesh Police remains fully committed to maintaining law and order within the state and ensuring all possible assistance to Indian citizens affected by the situation in Nepal.
