In his letter, Rai also highlighted the Congress leader’s prominence as one of the most popular political leaders in the country who has continuously engaged with the public through initiatives like the Bharat Jodo Yatra, the Lok Sabha election campaign, and currently, the Jan-Adhikar Yatra in Bihar. Given this background, he urged that the Gandhi scion be provided with the highest level of personal protection without any compromise.
Lastly, Rai appealed to the home minister to take immediate and serious note of the concerns raised and issue directives to ensure Gandhi’s safety, enabling him to continue his public service without hindrance or threat.
