The Uttar Pradesh Assembly was adjourned sine die after the approval to the budget for next final year.
Speaker Satish Mahana before adjourning the House indefinitely, wished all the members on the occasion of Holi and announced that within next four years the members would be sitting in a new assembly.
The Speaker said that the House sat for 11 days with just 36 minutes of adjournment. The House ran for 83 hours and 15 minutes. The state assembly was scheduled to continue till March 10 but it ended today.
The budget session of  state assembly commenced on February 20 with a joint address by Governor Anandi Ben Patel and the budget proposals for Rs 6.90 lakh crore were tabled by Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna on February 22.
