Union Minister Suresh Gopi’s son Madhav Suresh was taken into police custody late Thursday night following a road rage incident involving Congress leader Vinod Krishna near Sasthamangalam here. Vinod Krishna was also taken into custody by the police.

According to the police, the car Madhav was travelling in was going from Sasthamangalam to Vellayambalam when it collided with the vehicle being driven by Vinod Krishna, which was taking a U-turn from the opposite direction. The two got into an argument as there was no space for the cars to pass.

Eyewitnesses present at the scene said that Madhav blocked Vinod Krishna’s car and got into an argument.

The police reached the spot after being informed by people who alleged that Madhav was drunk. However, a breathalyzer test by police confirmed that Madhav was not intoxicated.

Madhav told the police that he saw Vinod Krishna talking on the phone and driving.The officers then asked both parties if they wanted to register complaints. After discussions, both parties decided not to proceed with the case. Following this, both were released.
