A disturbing moment from the incident surfaced when a trapped female passenger lashed out at a bystander recording a video instead of helping. “We’re dying in here, and you’re making a video! If you had helped remove the branches, we could have come out,” the woman was heard shouting.
Among the deceased are Shiksha Malhotra (53), who was posted at a primary school in Kadipur, and Anoj (45). The identities of the bus driver and another woman teacher are yet to be confirmed.
One of the injured teachers shared, “We were all on our way to our respective schools in Haidergarh when suddenly a tree fell on the moving bus near Harkh Chauraha.”
Local police and administration have reached the spot and are coordinating the rescue efforts. The area has been witnessing heavy rains over the past few days, which likely led to the weakening and fall of the tree.
Further updates are awaited as rescue operations continue.
