Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya claimed that toppling the BJP government in UP is beyond Akhilesh Yadav’s power, as he is following Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s path.

He said, “It is no longer possible to loot the country and the state by looting booths.”

Maurya, who was in Jhansi on Monday, told reporters that “the people of Bihar have sent a clear message that jungle raj, gun rule, and nepotism will not return, and they want development.”

On the disintegration of RJD Chief Lalu Prasad’s family after the Bihar assembly polls, he said, “This is the beginning of the end of nepotism; Mulayam’s family has disintegrated in UP as well.”

On meeting Akhilesh Yadav during the Bihar campaign at the Patna airport, he said, “He was asking, ‘When will you feed us laddus?’ We said on the 14th when the Bihar assembly results were declared.”

“Now I am looking for him( Akhilesh) to invite him to come, and then we will feed him rasgullas and laddus,” Maurya said lightheartedly.

On the opposition to a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in UP and other states, he said, “Rahul raised the issue of vote theft, and ultimately they were reduced to 6 seats.”

Making a joke of Rahul Gandhi for jumping in the river during the Bihar campaign, he said, “Rahul should have taken Tejashwi and Akhilesh with him too.” During the campaign in Bihar, the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha jumped into a muddy pond and interacted with fishermen present at the spot.

Reacting to the involvement of doctors in the Delhi blasts, he said, “The involvement of educated people is a matter of concern. But their fate will be the same as that of the enemies of the country.”
