Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana of Thailand reached Agra on Wednesday to have a glimpse of the seventh-century monument of love ‘Taj Mahal’. She was a state guest of the Uttar Pradesh government and arrived here following a tour of Rajasthan.
She reached the Taj Mahal with a delegation in the morning, and stayed there for about one and a half hours. She also got a photo shoot done, and expressed admiration for the monumment . A guide informed her about the history of Taj Mahal.
After Taj Mahal, she also visited the Agra Fort. It was a private visit for the Princess. Strict security measures were in place for her, including coordination between Thai security agencies and local police.

Princess Sirivannavari Nariratna had reached Agra a day earlier by a special plane and had spent the night in a hotel. She will leave for Bangkok by a special flight this afternoon.
