Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Sunday announced cash awards of Rs 25 lakhs to all Padma awardees from Telugu states at a felicitation ceremony by the Telangana government.
The chief minister also announced a monthly pension of Rs 25,000 to poets and artists from Telangana who were recipients of Padma awards. Former vice-president Venkaiah Naidu and megastar Chiranjeevi, recipients of Padma Vibhushan were felicitated at the programme.

He expressed hope that Venkaiah Naidu as a symbol of Telugu pride would become the president of India in future.
