Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Sunday emphasised the importance of spiritual awakening as a means to take society and the nation forward on the path of progress.
Addressing a function organised by the Jain International Trade Organisation (JITO) Town Representatives’ Conclave on Vishwa Navkar Mahamantra Divas 2.0, Sharma said that, alongside spiritual awakening, moral, principle-based leadership and social harmony are also essential for unity and a bright future.

He said, “Dhyan (meditation), introspection and tapasya (renunciation) are the three tenets of the Jain faith and tradition that have enabled the community to guide the world on the path of elevation.
“We should strive for honesty, transparency, service to the common man and high moral standards in our decisions,” Sharma said.
Speaking about his government’s tasks and agenda in Rajasthan, the CM said, “We are working with commitment to take development in the state to new heights.”
He said the country is marching rapidly on the path of development under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which would soon enable India to become the world’s third-largest economy.
The Chief Minister also flagged off special raths (vehicles) to promote and publicise the ideals of Vishwa Namokar Mahamantra Divas 2.0.
