Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan felt uneasy after he went to a mosque to offer Friday prayers following which a family doctor treated him at his house here, sources said.

The family sources said the former Uttar Pradesh minister will be taken to Delhi for further treatment.

He had also skipped a court hearing on Thursday. His lawyer had submitted an application for exemption from attendance, citing his ill health.

Khan was released from Sitapur jail on September 23 after facing a term of around 2 years.

On September 18, the Allahabad High Court granted him bail. However, upon his release, the police added new sections to the Enemy Property case. But on September 20, the Rampur court dismissed these charges, paving the way for his release.

The SP leader is facing a total of 104 cases.

On October 9, SP president Akhilesh Yadav visited Rampur to meet him. The two leaders held a two-hour closed-door meeting.
