The Samajwadi Party has demanded that the Election Commission implement webcasting at all 414 polling booths under the Milkipur assembly constituency, where by-polls will be held on February 5.
Besides, the party also demanded that the webcasting link be provided to the contesting candidates and recognised political parties, allowing them access to all voting information and any irregularities to ensure a free, transparent, and fearless election.

“The webcasting link should be made available to the candidates and recognised political parties. If the link is not provided, the candidates and recognised political parties will be unable to access information about incidents and irregularities at the polling stations, which is undemocratic, unconstitutional, and unjust,” the memorandum stated.
