The Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) successfully organized the three–day celebration of National Sports Day 2025 from 29th to 31st August at its Secretariat Office in Chandigarh, marking the spirit of discipline, dedication and determination.
The celebrations witnessed enthusiastic participation from officers and officials in Table Tennis, Chess and Carrom, with matches reflecting high levels of skill and sportsmanship. At the Board Office, Chairman Shri Manoj Tripathi started the event with pledge taking, thereby encouraging all to uphold the values of discipline, teamwork, fitness and sportsmanship. He further inspired active involvement by playing exhibitory matches of all games.

In his address during the valedictory ceremony, Shri Tripathi highlighted the vital role of sports in ensuring fitness and in nurturing values of teamwork, perseverance and discipline. He commended BBMB’s efforts in promoting sporting talent within the organization and applauded the achievements of BBMB sportspersons at National level Inter CPSU tournaments. He also paid homage to hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand Ji, in whose honour the nation celebrates National Sports Day every year.

The three–day celebrations concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where winners were felicitated and all participants were presented with mementos as a token of encouragement.
