The Shankaracharya had announced in the morning that he will circumambulate the Vishwanath Temple on Monday at 3 pm.

Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh Congress has attacked the BJP government for denying Shankaracharya of doing a Sanatan religious ritual.

The administration stopped Swami Avimukteshwaranand from going there as Section 144 was in place.

Swami ji was ready to go alone but the administration put him under house arrest in Vidyamath located in Sonarpura, alleged UP Congress president Ajay Rai.

Rai said that the BJP government is anti-Sanatan Dharma and Shankaracharya is the flag bearer of Sanatan Dharma and this kind of behaviour with him is extremely shameful and disturbing to every Sanatani, he said.
