Clash erupts following procession of CPIM LS candidate in Howrah
Some CPI-M workers were allegedly attacked during an election campaign rally in Mallikpara in Sankrail in Howrah, this afternoon causing tension in the area.
Even as the country is coming to terms with Unnao rape case, another case of alleged sexual crime against a woman from Uttar Pradesh has surfaced.
The incident came to light after a video of the woman being allegedly sexually assaulted by two men in Kannauj’s Samdhan district of Uttar Pradesh appeared on social media, following which the rape survivor’s family has said that if the accused are not arrested, they will all commit suicide.
As per NDTV news report, the accused have been identified as Talib and Salman. They are residents of the same locality, where the victim and her family lives.

The alleged sexual assault took place after the woman had gone to a well to fetch water. She did not inform her family about the assault fearing slander from the community.
In another case, a video of a girl being molested by a mob of men in Bihar’s Jehanabad surfaced on social media on Sunday.
As per media reports, four persons have been arrested in connection with the incident that sent shockwaves in the state. The video shows a group of young men (around 8 of them) trying to disrobe a girl and abduct her. The girl is seen vehemently struggling to escape the group.
An FIR was lodged at the Town police station under various sections of the IPC and the POCSO Act.
Two Special Investigation Teams (SIT) have been formed and raids are being conducted in villages near Bihar’s Jehanabad to nab the rest of the accused.
