In a significant development, senior BJP leader and member of BJP’s National Council Sanjay Tandon met Union Minister for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal in New Delhi and discussed a range of issues related to judicial administration, with particular focus on matters concerning the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

During the meeting, Tandon urged the Union Minister to expedite the appointment of judges against the long-pending vacancies in the Punjab and Haryana High Court. He emphasized that timely appointments are essential for strengthening the judicial system, ensuring speedy justice and reducing the workload on the existing judiciary.

He also highlighted the need for upgrading the High Court’s infrastructure and sought the Centre’s support in modernizing judicial facilities and streamlining court procedures to help reduce the pendency of cases.

He noted that strengthening institutional capacity would significantly improve access to justice and administrative efficiency in the region.

Recalling Meghwal’s recent visit to Chandigarh, Tandon appreciated the Minister’s proactive approach, accessibility and responsiveness to public concerns. He commended Meghwal’s efficient working style and his sustained commitment to judicial reforms, legal modernization, and institutional strengthening.
