SC asks states/UTs to decide on plea seeking to conduct yatras on poll awareness
The bench was told that such orders prohibit all kinds of assemblies, meetings and demonstrations during the duration of elections.

Travancore Devaswom Board (TDP) president A Padmakumar on Sunday said the board will decide on filing review petition against the Supreme Court verdict allowing women of all ages to enter Sabarimala temple after a discussion in Board meeting on Wednesday.
Speaking to media persons here, Padmakumar said the matter will be discussed at the Devaswom Board meeting to be held on Wednesday and a decision on it will be taken.
In this connection, state devaswom minister dampally- Surendran said that state government is not against filing a review petition by the Devaswom board against the SC verdict allowing the entry of women in the Sabarimala temple. “Devaswom board can take decision independently. The government won’t insist its policy over Devaswom board,” said the Devaswom minister here.

Earlier, Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala demanded that the Travancore Devaswom board should file a review petition against the Supreme Court verdict that allows women of all ages to enter Sabarimala.
