Ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) National President Lalu Prasad Yadav has restructured the party and its various cells.
He has constituted a 28-member National Executive Committee which will have four National Vice-Presidents, namely former chief minister Rabri Devi, former RJD Bihar president Jagdanand Singh, former Assembly speaker Uday Narayan Choudhary and former MP Mehboob Ali Kaiser.

Abdul Bari Siddiqui has been renominated as National Principal General Secretary, while Sunil Kumar Singh has been nominated as National Treasurer.
The RJD Supremo has also appointed 10 national secretaries along with 12 national general secretaries including Jaiprakash Narayan Yadav and Bhola Yadav.
Lalu Prasad has also nominated National Presidents of various cells of the party.
Former union minister Ali Ashraf Fatmi has been appointed head of the party’s Minority Cell.
Former union minister Kanti Singh will lead the party’s Women’s Cell.
MP Abhay Kushwaha will head the RJD’s Youth Cell, while Delhi University Professor Naval Kishore will lead the Students Cell.
MP Sudhakar Singh will head the Farmers’ Cell.
Shivchandra Ram has been asked to lead the party’s Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Cell.
Lalu Prasad Yadav was elected as national president of the Rashtriya Janata Dal for 13th term in June 2025.
Later, in a significant political move, the National Executive Committee announced that Lalu Prasad and Tejashwi Yadav will be solely responsible for all major decisions concerning the upcoming assembly elections.
