The Election Commission has decided to conduct repolling in four booths in Kasaragod and Kannur in Kerala on May 19 where bogus voting was confirmed.
The repolling will be conducted at Kalliasseri Pilathara AUP school booth no. 19, booth no. 69 at Puthiyangadi Jumaat Masjid HS north block, booth no. 70 at Puthiyangadi Jumaat Masjid HS south block in Kasaragod and booth no. 166, Pamburuthi Mappilai AUP school in Taliparamba in Kannur.
The voting will take place from 7 am to 6 pm on Sunday. Campaigning can be held until Friday evening. Chief electoral officer Teeka Ram Meena has instructed the Kasaragod and Kannur collectors to prepare for the repolling.

The election commission has cancelled the polling that was held on 23 April in these four booths. The commission has taken the decision to conduct repoll on the basis of the reports filed by the returning officers, micro observers and the chief electoral officer. The Congress and the BJP have welcomed the decision of the Election Commission.

The footage of polling in the booth shows women, including Woman panchayat president and former panchayat member casting their votes more than once in the booth and alleged CPI-M workers standing inside the booth in violation of the rules.
Meanwhile, the election commission has ordered repolling in a total of 13 polling booths spread across five Lok Sabha constituencies in Tamil Nadu on May 19. The Dharmapuri constituency will witness a maximum number of eight booths going for re-polling in the state.
Repolling will be conducted on May 19 in five polling stations coming under Andhra Pradesh’s Chandragiri constituency and Chittoor (SC) parliamentary constituency.
Following this, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) accused the poll body of taking a decision that was “unethical and unconstitutional.”
Meanwhile, the EC on Thursday ordered repoll at a booth in Delhi’s Chandni Chowk parliamentary constituency.
The decision was taken on the basis of a report from the Delhi Chief Electoral Officer that the Presiding Officer at booth no. 32 forgot to delete the “test votes” cast during the mock poll conducted ahead of the actual election on May 12.
In Odisha, re-polling will be held at 34 booths in ten districts on May 19. Out of the 34 booths, polling was held at 12 booths in the third phase of elections and 22 booths in the fourth phase.
The Election Commission has also ordered repolling at a polling station in Haryana’s Faridabad parliamentary seat on May 19 after a BJP polling agent was arrested for allegedly trying to influence voters at a booth.
