The CID-CB branch of the Rajasthan Police, in a joint operation with the Special Operations Group (SoG) of Punjab Police, has arrested five criminals wanted in connection with the grenade blast in Nawan Shahr in July.
According to police sources, the accused, allegedly associated with the infamous Lawrence gang, were conspiring to carry out disruptive activities in Delhi and Gwalior around Independence Day.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Shivam, Jitendra Chaudhary, Sanjay, Sonu alias Kali, and Sonu Paswan.
They were overpowered during coordinated raids conducted in Jaipur and Tonk districts by teams from both Rajasthan and Punjab. Subsequently, they were handed over to the Punjab Police’s SoG. A minor was also detained.
Sources revealed that their handler, Zeeshan Akhtar, currently residing in Canada, has also claimed responsibility for the killing of Baba Siddiqui in Mumbai. Akhtar is believed to have given online instructions for executing the Nawan Shahr grenade blast.
