Rajasthan Minister Meena writes to Shah, demanding high-level inquiry into the REET 2021 paper leaks

Rajasthan Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Dr Kirodi Lal Meena has written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah urging a high-level inquiry into the “paper leak” in the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET- 2021) under the previous Congress regime.

In an 11-page letter sent to the Home Minister a couple of days ago, Meena levelled serious allegations against some Congress leaders and government officials.

These leaders and officials include then education minister Govind Singh Dotasra, then minister of state for education Subhash Garg and some officers posted at the CM’s office during that regime.

The role of some officials working at the Gandhian Institute of Social Science and Governance (GISSG) and the Rajiv Gandhi Study Circle (RGSC) in that period, was also questioned in the letter.

In the letter, Meena told the Home Minister that of the 18 entrance/recruitment exams conducted during the previous Congress regime, 17 were tainted by paper leaks.

“In my capacity as an Opposition leader I raised the issue and appraised the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) as well as the Enforcement Director (ED), however, no action was taken with due seriousness against influential people,” he stated.

The Agriculture Minister also pointed to alleged irregularities in granting the question paper printing work to a Kolkata-based printing press.

“This was done under pressure from Dotasra, Dr Garg and the CMO officials”, Meena alleged”.
