The Rajasthan High Court on Monday stayed the implementation of a single-judge bench order that had cancelled the Sub-Inspector Recruitment Exam 2021.

The division bench comprising Justices Sanjeev Prakash Sharma and Sanjit Purohit stayed the August 28, 2025, order of Justice Sameer Jain, which had annulled the recruitment process. The order came after hearing an appeal filed by Amar Singh and other selected candidates.

The single-judge bench had ordered the cancellation of the recruitment citing widespread paper leaks, which was challenged by several recruited candidates.

In its ruling, the single bench observed that the fairness of the recruitment process was compromised due to irregularities, making it neither legal nor transparent, and thus directed the government to cancel it.

The recruited sub-inspectors, however, petitioned the division bench, arguing that scrapping the entire recruitment was unjustified. They also pointed out that the government was not in favour of cancellation and that the Special Operations Group (SOG) had already taken action against those involved in the paper leak.
