Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Thursday discussed the sanction of the Jaipur Metro Rail Project Phase-II and other key development issues of the state with Union Minister for Urban Development Manohar Lal Khattar in New Delhi.
The discussion was held in a positive atmosphere, with the Union Minister assuring the Chief Minister of an early clearance for the mega development project that is expected to transform urban infrastructure in the Pink City, an official spokesperson from New Delhi said.

During his brief visit to the national capital, CM Sharma called on Minister Khattar and other central government officials. As Khattar also holds the portfolios of Energy and Housing & Urban Development, the talks also covered issues related to the Green Energy Corridor, sustainable growth in the energy sector, and strengthening of the electricity transmission system.
Both CM Sharma and Union Minister Khattar expressed satisfaction over the Centre’s prompt clearances for Rajasthan’s projects and the strong coordination between officials in Delhi and Jaipur under the “Double Engine” BJP government.
The Chief Minister also met Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil to discuss pending water-related works and to review progress on major water projects, including the Ramsethu Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project.
