The Rajasthan government will unveil a special policy for ensuring fair opportunities for employment to wards of farmers next month, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said here on Wednesday.
Addressing an event at Durgalura State Agro Management Institute here to mark the disbursement of the 21st installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, he said jobs will be provided to children of farmers in government as well as private sectors.

He said under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra ModiJi, our government in the state during the past 21-22 months, in sync with the Centre have made a series of concerted efforts to raise income of the farmers and elevate their economic status.
In addition to the Central grant of Rs 6000 per year under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, the Rajasthan government has also been paying Rs 2000 at its level, he said.
Besides this, we have been effectively compensating loss of their crop through the Crop Insurance and contributed for claims, more than Rs 5900 crore. We have also been paying a bonus of Rs 5 per litre on the sale of milk to dairies by cattle keeping farmers. We have also launched the Gopalan Credit Cards to provide funds to farmers to buy cattle heads.
Provisions of facility of soil testing for maintaining/ enhancing fertility of the soul, sufficient availability of high yielding seeds and suitable fertilizers have also been ensured, the Chief Minister has informed.
“Our government has been making all out efforts for ensuring smooth and adequate availability of the water and power supply for irrigation. For this purpose, we have already begun a scheme of providing power supply to farmers in day shifts. For convenience of the farmers in 22 of the 41 districts of the state have so far been provided power supply in day time, by the year 2027, farmers in all the districts will get power supply in day shifts.
Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for disbursing the 21st installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, Chief Minister Sharma said, “As many as 70 lakh farmers of the state were today getting money, Rs 1400 crore under the scheme through direct bank transfer (DBT).
This function was held in online synchrony, through video conferencing, with the national level ceremony at Coimbatore in Tamilnadu where Prime Minister Modi himself disbursed the Samman Nidhi totalling around Rs 18,000 crore to nine crore farmers of the country.
