Raj CM Sharma inaugurates aviation academy in Hamirgarh, Bhilwara

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Tuesday inaugurated the new Aviation Academy at the Hamirgarh airstrip in the Bhilwara district of Rajasthan.

“The Dunes Aviation Academy, the MoU for which was signed at the Rising Rajasthan Global Investors Summit in December last year, is a significant leap in our journey to make the state a favourite aviation hub of the country, CM Sharma said.

Now, Rajasthan youths aspiring for a career in civil aviation will not be compelled to move out (of state) for training and realising dreams. “I also view it as the state’s proud contribution in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve for AtmNirbharta (self reliance) in the aviation arena,” he said.

The Rajasthan government has been making a series of initiatives and efforts for expansion and strengthening of civil aviation infrastructure. These included formulation of new civil aviation policy last year, expeditious work on Kota Green Field airport project, expansion and strengthening infrastructure at the airports at Jaipur — Sanganer and Udaipur — Dabok, the chief minister elaborated.

The promotor company of the project — Dunes Aviation Academy — has expressed gratitude to the CM and his government for giving them an opportunity to expand its wings with their second base at Bhilwara and assured that this would bring world-class flight training to Rajasthan –the heart of India. This upcoming base is designed to offer an immersive training experience in an environment that’s ideal for uninterrupted learning.

The Bhilwara Airstrip offers operational advantages like uncontrolled Airspace ideal for initial pilot training and consistent flight hours and minimal air traffic that ensures a smooth training schedule with little to no delays and favorable weather that would enable flying operations year-round, a company note stated.
