Raj Assembly Speaker’s wife hospitalised after head injury

Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani’s wife was on Wednesday admitted to the SMS Hospital here after she fell at her residence and suffered a head injury.

According to a hospital spokesman, Indira Devnani was bought to the hospital in a critical condition and was admitted to the ICU ward.

Family sources said she had an accidental slip and soon after blood oozed out from her nose. She later became conscious, they said.

At the hospital, she would be kept under intensive observation for next 72 hours.

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar, Commerce and Industries Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Leader of the Opposition Tika Ram Jully, Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasra, BJP President Madan Rathore and several dignitaries called on the Speaker to inquire about the health of his wife.
