Two persons were killed and at least five others injured when a four-storey dilapidated building collapsed in the Subhash Chowk area of the old walled city late Friday night.

According to police and eyewitnesses, loose boulders and slabs from the rear walls of the rain-soaked building—housing several tenant families, mostly from West Bengal—began falling from the third floor around midnight. Moments later, a major portion of the structure collapsed with a loud crash.
