Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday expressed deep sorrow over the passing of senior Congress leader and former Kerala minister CV Padmarajan.
Padmarajan passed away at the age of 93 while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Kollam due to age-related ailments.

He served as the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president from 1983 to 1987 and held ministerial positions in the cabinets of K Karunakaran and AK Antony.

Highlighting Padmarajan’s dedication to public service, simplicity, and integrity, Gandhi said in a post on X: “Deeply saddened by the passing of senior Congress leader and former Minister in the Kerala government, Shri C. V. Padmarajan. His simplicity, integrity, and unwavering commitment to the people of Kerala will always be remembered. My heartfelt condolences to his family and admirers.”
