Speaking about agriculture, Mann recalled his promise to ensure paddy transplantation without the use of tubewells. He expressed pride that canal water now reaches even the remotest villages at the state’s tail ends, adding that his government has revived 15,947 water channels across Punjab since taking office. He also emphasized that his government has successfully safeguarded Punjab’s water resources from being diverted to other states.

The chief minister highlighted the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna — the first-of-its-kind scheme in the country, which provides cashless medical treatment of up to ₹10 lakh for every resident family in Punjab.

He noted that Punjab is the first state in India to offer such comprehensive healthcare coverage, significantly reducing the public’s financial burden while ensuring quality services. He said the historic initiative aims to provide universal healthcare to all families in the state.

Mann reiterated that agriculture and farmers remain the top priority of his government, with continuous efforts being made to make farming profitable. He expressed pride that farmers report no shortage of electricity or canal water and are receiving an uninterrupted supply. He said it is heartening to see smiles returning to farmers’ faces.

Striking an emotional chord with the public, Mann said villagers are close to his heart and he cherishes every moment spent with them. He added that such occasions inspire him to leave no stone unturned for their welfare. On the occasion, he handed over a cheque worth ₹1.76 crore to the village panchayat to further boost development in the village.
