Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra turned up the heat on the NDA government during a rally in Valmiki Nagar on Wednesday accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his allies of neglecting Bihar and focusing more on opposition leaders than the people.
Speaking to a cheering crowd in West Champaran, Vadra said, “Nobody cares about Nitish ji now. Modi ji seems more worried about Rahul Gandhi’s photo on Congress posters or Tejashwi Yadav’s picture in RJD posters than about your problems. He is the Prime Minister, but he doesn’t even invite the Chief Minister of the state on stage.”

The Congress general secretary accused the NDA of trying to take power in Bihar through “vote chori”. She claimed that names of 65 lakh voters, including many women, had been deleted from the electoral rolls using the SIR system. She warned that the situation in the country felt “like the British Raj” hinting at a future where elections might be under threat.
Referring to her brother Rahul Gandhi, Vadra said, “He has already exposed vote theft in Haryana. The NDA is trying to destroy democratic processes. If you remain silent, this will continue. It is time to chase them out of power.”
Vadra also criticised Modi for appearing more concerned about political posters than pressing issues like crime, corruption, and youth education. “He seems obsessed with whether Tejashwi Yadav or Rahul Gandhi appear in party posters. Meanwhile, the Bihar Chief Minister is never by his side during rallies,” she added.
Highlighting Congress and its INDIA bloc allies’ promises, Vadra said the people of Bihar would benefit immediately if her party came to power. “We will provide free treatment up to Rs 25 lakh to those who need it. We will ensure at least one government job per poor family and fill lakhs of vacancies across departments,” she said.
