President Draupadi Murmu visited Mathura and Vrindavan on Thursday. She, along with her family members, offered prayers at the Nabha Peeth Sudama Kuti in the Vanshivat area of Vrindavan.

She inaugurated Saint Sudama Das Maharaj’s Bhajan Kuti, planted a Rudraksha tree, and donated a calf as part of cow service.

During her interaction with former Energy Minister and MLA Shrikant Sharma and saints, she praised the ashram’s tradition of service and devotion and the Madhukari tradition.

Later, the President arrived at the Shri Banke Bihari Temple, where she was welcomed by the sevadars amidst chanting of Vedic mantras. She offered a ghee lamp to Thakurji and prayed for the prosperity and well-being of the country and the state.

Following this, the President arrived at Nidhivan and became the first President of the country to perform the Parikrama. She walked approximately 500 meters to visit Nidhivanraj. At the Nidhivanraj Temple, the servants presented her with a silver flute and offered items for her nightly adornment.

In the afternoon, the President arrived at the Shri Kubja Krishna Temple in Antapada and performed special prayers. She then visited the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi complex, where she bowed at the feet of Lord Krishna and sought his blessings.

BJP city Media in-charge Shyam Sharma stated that President Murmu departed for Delhi after visiting the Janmabhoomi. Her visit renewed the national attention to the religious, cultural, and spiritual traditions of Vrindavan and Mathura.

Earlier in the morning, she was given a grand welcome at the Vrindavan Road Railway Station.

The President was welcomed by State Cabinet Minister Laxmi Narayan Chaudhary, Mayor Vinod Agarwal, Additional Director General of Police Anupam Kulshrestha, Divisional Commissioner Shailendra Kumar Singh, District Magistrate Chandra Prakash Singh, and Senior Superintendent of Police Shlok Kumar, along with senior district officials.
