The government spent ₹9 crore in the last six months on the FOB designed with Himalayan aesthetics and architecture that provides universal access to various locations for tourists and de-risks pedestrian crossings during peak footfall at BPG. It will also strengthen last-mile connectivity across the state-of-the-art Rashtrapati Niketan project, likely to be opened for the public in coming days.

2) The Equestrian Area at PBG was another infrastructure unveiled by the president at PBG. Considered as the living heritage of the PBG equestrian area, over 0.7 acres is meant for President’s Body Guards’ horses. The new area for the visitors and tourists houses three integrated places designated as Care and Treatment area, Stabling and Welfare zone and a riding arena for the horses. The Care and Treatment area houses separate treatment bay, bathing points and feed room for the PBG horses while Stabling and Welfare place will have carrying capacity for eight horses with all facilities for their upkeep and riding arena will accompany an exclusive visitors viewing corridor in the President’s estate.
Anchored in the equestrian tradition PBG horses will be stabled here and allow tourists a curated first-of-its-kind window into equine care and training in the presidential circuit. The President’s estate in Dehradun will remain open for the public between 9 am to 5 pm on all days barring the first day of the week.
Earlier, Murmu arrived at the Dehradun airport at around 11.30 am and visited University of Patanjali in Haridwar to take part as chief guest in the convocation function of the university. Thereafter, she returned to the state capital.
