Pregnant daughter-in-law of a retired woman judge allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling in her in-laws’ house in Bhopal on Tuesday night.
According to the police, the incident occurred in the Katara Hills area.

The deceased was identified as Dwisha Sharma (31), wife of advocate Saamarth Sharma. Dwisha was from Noida and got married to Saamarth about an year ago. Saamarth’s mother is a retired judge and the family lives in Katara Hills locality.

Dwisha’s brother, Harshit Sharma is a Major in the Indian Army. Her family members alleged that she had called them on Tuesday night and complained that her husband was harassing her for a long time.
The girl’s family also said that she had told them that she would return to Noida and had even got a ticket booked. However, on Tuesday, the girl’s mother-in-law informed her family that Dwisha had committed suicide by hanging in the house.
On receiving the new, Dwisha’s family rushed to Bhopal on Wednesday. The police got her post mortem conducted.
It was reported that Dwisha was pregnant.
Police officials said that suicide note had been found yet. The case is being investigated from all angles and if necessary, action would be taken on the basis of the probe’s outcome.
