The farmer unions leading the protests at Punjab- Haryana Singhu border, on Sunday, March 3 had given a call to farmers across the nation to reach Delhi and had also announced Rail Roko between 12-4 pm on March 10.

The farmers from different parts of the country were reportedly asked to reach Delhi in a peaceful manner to put forth their demands, while those at Singhu and Khanauri border points will continue with their agitation on the spot.

However, talking to a news agency on Wednesday on farmers ‘Delhi Chalo’ march, farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said that an announcement was made earlier that farmers from other states will start marching towards Delhi from March 6, but coming from far-off places, they will not be able to reach Delhi today, and may take 2-3 days to reach.
