POCSO for POCSO: Swami Avimukteshwaranand files false case petition against accuser Ashutosh Brahmachari

Following the registration of an FIR under POCSO Act against him, Jyotish Peeth Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati on Thursday filed a false case petition against his accuser Ashutosh Brahmachari.

The development comes two days after Avimukteshwaranand moved the Allahabad High Court seeking anticipatory bail after registration of an FIR against him for alleged sexual harassment of two minors.

Ashutosh Brahmachari, a disciple of ‘Jagadguru’ Rambhadracharya, had filed a complaint in Prayagraj’s Special Rape and POCSO Court on February 8, alleging that the Jyotish Peeth Shankaracharya has sexually abused children in his Ashram.

The application under Section 173(4) was filed after the Jhunsi police allegedly failed to register a case.

Following this, ADJ Rape and POCSO Special Court in Prayagraj last week directed the Uttar Pradesh police to register an FIR against Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati.

The court also directed police to conduct a detailed investigation into the allegations of sexual exploitation of 20 children in his camp.

Following the court’s order, a case was registered against the Shankaracharya at Jhunsi police station.

Swami Avimukteshwaranand denied the allegations, claiming that the case against him was filed to divert attention from the globally discussed ‘Epstein Files’.

“The file reveals matters that are being discussed worldwide, but in India, it is being suppressed. Here, by fabricating a false case against the Shankaracharya, an attempt is being made to stop any discussion about the Epstein Files,” he said.

Launching an indirect attack against UP CM Yogi Adityanath, Avimukteshwaranand said that there are two BJP at present- one stands with the Hindus and the other is “Bulldozer BJP” which harass them.

“At present, two types of BJP are visible. First, the traditional BJP, which stands with Hindus, and second, the one that is harassing people on the basis of a particular caste. Those accusing me belong to this ‘Bulldozer BJP’,” he added.
