Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a meeting of MLAs and officials at the BJP state office Friday evening besides attending and addressing the 58th annual conference of All India Director Generals and Inspector Generals of Police taking place on January 5-7 in the Pink City.

In this regard, a meeting of party officials was held today in the BJP state office under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, BJP State President CP Joshi, BJP Organization General Secretary Chandrashekhar. During the meeting, guidelines were also given to BJP officials regarding PM Modi’s program.

The State President told reporters here that the city and BJP state office were being decorated on the arrival of Modi in Jaipur. Administration and BJP officials were taking stock of the arrangements regarding the PM’s program.

Regarding the inauguration of Prabhu Shri Ram Temple, the Prime Minister has called for a cleanliness campaign from 14 to 22 January which is underway in the state.

Meanwhile it is learnt that the PM will take up the matter related to the Lok Sabha -2024 polls and discuss with the party functionaries on winning the all 25 LS seats in Rajasthan. The PM will draw a certain strategy to contest the upcoming polls in the state.

As per the official schedule, the Prime Minister will attend the All India Conference of DGs-IGs at the Rajasthan International Centre on 6th-7th January.

The three day Conference will discuss a wide range of policing and internal security issues including Cyber Crime, Technology in Policing, Counter Terrorism challenges, Left Wing Extremism, Prison Reforms, among others.

Another key agenda of the conference is deliberations on the road map for implementation of the new criminal laws. Further, the Conference will also deliberate on futuristic themes in policing and security like the challenges posed by new technologies such as AI, Deepfake etc. and ways to deal with them. The conference also provides an opportunity to identify tangible action points and monitor their progress, which is also presented before the Prime Minister every year.

The conference is the culmination of extensive deliberations involving police and intelligence officers from district, state and national levels on identified themes. Best practices from States/ UTs under each of the themes will be presented at the Conference so that States can learn from each other.

The state police and central intelligence agencies are busy making fool proof arrangements for the event. The traffic routes were being inspected today by the state police.

However the entire three days meeting will be a closed door and media will not be allowed, a State PIB officer said.

Meanwhile, the Rajasthan Traffic police has made elaborate security arrangements for the PM, HM, and VVIPs, diverted the routes for public convenience and diversions due to VIP movements.

The PM is likely to stay at Raj Bhawan, and all DGP-IGs will stay at the newly built MLA flats in front of Vidhan Sabha building which are still vacant for the new MLAs as residence.
