Good Friday, also known as a ‘Holy Friday’ or ‘Black Friday’ signifies the day when Jesus Christ was crucified on Mount Calvary in Jerusalem, nearly 2,000 years ago. It is a day of mourning for members of the Christian community.

In Kerala, Christians participated in the Good Friday mass in large numbers. The Good Friday mass timings differ according to church denominations, starting from 8.30 am and ending as late as 3 pm in some churches.
After Good Friday comes the Easter Sunday, which celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
